The Atlantic
A Conversation on Community Health - St. Louis

The Atlantic's Community Health tour, underwritten by GSK, made its second stop in St. Louis today, December 12, where they gathered leaders currently working on the frontlines of community health; doctors, educators, legislators, community leaders, and advocates. The Atlantic hosted Jackie Joyner-Kersee – one of the most famous and decorated U.S. Olympians in Track and Field history – as the subject of our headline interview. Born in East St. Louis, Joyner-Kersee has dedicated much of her life since retiring as an athlete to the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation, which works to improve community health in St. Louis's poorest neighborhoods.
